FREE PRESCRIPTIONS for people Over 65 years or Children under 14 years, those with community services cards or prescription subsidy cards on all fully funded medicines.
Note: Non-funded prescriptions from Private Specialists AND Dentists are still charged.
You may be eligible for a prescription subsidy card if you receive 20 or more prescription items within 12 months (1 February – 31 January). You can combine the number of prescriptions with members of your family, including your spouse and dependent children up to age 18.
A prescription subsidy card entitles you to receive funded medicines without paying the standard co-payment, after 20 prescription items have been collected.

Free Unichem and Life Pharmacy APP
We would like to introduce you to our new FREE. “Unichem and Life Pharmacy APP”
The APP allows you to see all the information we see on our system in relation to your repeats and current medication and how many days you have left.
This allows you to control exactly what you want to order whenever you want from a push of a button! You have complete control!
No more guessing how many repeats you have of certain medication or how many days left before you run out. You will have it in the palm of your hand, literally!
No more phone calls or emails. This service is completely FREE Once we we receive your order we will notify you via the APP and all you have to do is pick it up! You can also link your loved ones that you maybe caring for on the same APP so you can manage them too! ( with their consent of course).
Be amazed as you set reminders and alarms on the APP to prompt you to take your medicines at certain times and with more services and capability being added daily, it will be all that you need to manage your medicines.

EMail Prescription Service
Haven't got time to go to your doctors to collect a prescription? No worries just get your doctor to email it through to us at " waiuku.dispensary@unichem.co.nz " and we can dispense your medicine the same day.
Southern Cross Prescription Claiming
It can be a hassle to keep claiming back your prescription charges from Southern Cross. We can now claim your prescriptions charges on your behalf and this will be paid to us directly, all we need is your membership card.
Prescription Repeat text Reminder Service
Life gets busy. So, we offer a service to remind you about your next prescription repeat. Simply register at the pharmacy or give us a call and let us know you’d like to be reminded. All we need is your mobile number so we can send you a text when your repeat is due. We’ll notify you prior to your next scheduled repeat date, allowing you peace of mind.It's a free service so sign up today.
